Our Lady of Peace offers several ministries which give you an opportunity to offer your services to your parish. There are two types of ministries offered at Our Lady of Peace. Our Lady of Peace Parish (OLP) has a lot to offer. The pastor and the Parish Council are looking for people, like you, to strengthen and to help our faith community grow. Below, is a brief synopsis of the guiding factors for OLP.

PASTOR: Based on Canon Law and the documents of Vatican Council II, the pastor is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Shepherd of the parish.

FINANCE COUNCIL: The Parish Finance Council is a consultative body which helps the pastor to act justly and prudently in the administration of the temporal goods. The responsibility of the Parish Finance Council is formation of financial policies – including the devising and regular monitoring of a parish budget, policies for the proper maintenance of building and grounds of the parish, long-range financial planning, preparation of an annual financial report, and civil law pertaining to the administration of the temporal goods of the parish.

PASTORAL COUNCIL: The Pastoral Council exists as a consultative body for the pastor. That is, the pastor consults the council. It is the responsibility of the Pastoral Council to investigate pastoral matters and to propose practical recommendations. After the pastor has reviewed the recommendations of the Council, he makes a decision to accept or reject those recommendations and then he directs their implementation. Adhering to La Crosse Diocesan guidelines, every Parish Council should have the following committees: Catholic Education, Family Life, Sacred Worship, and Social Justice
